GROUND COMPACTION - URETEK Deep-Injection
ADVANTAGE URETEK !
VERSATILITY
URETEK Deep-Injection technology allows correction of foundation problems in the most inaccessible of places, by densifying and compacting the ground without excavation or the need for mechanical force. Almost any type of ground can be considered for improvement.
URETEK Deep-Injection can be applied to buildings that have settled due to:-
Compression of subbase, caused by:
initial poor compaction
overloading
vibration/ earthquake
ingress of water
Slip/subsidence (including 'mine subsidence')
Erosion or scouring (including broken water pipes)
URETEK Deep-Injection alone, or in conjunction with The URETEK Method, can raise and relevel parts of, or entire, buildings and other structures. Suspect and voided areas can be addressed, with only enough lift applied to confirm stabilisation.
Injected URETEK material aggressively fills any voids it finds, allowing the stabilisation of structures such as vibrating machinery bases or bridge approach/departure slabs.
CONVENIENCE
URETEK Deep-Injection is very efficient. The set-up time, injection procedure and curing time are accomplished, in full, in a matter of hours or days - rather than weeks required for alternatives.
Successful compaction is self-evident at the time of injection. Therefore, completing the project and returning the location to full usage, is accomplished quickly. The time required is remarkably shorter than for any other structural repair technique or alternative.
The works can be isolated, staged and/or completed outside business hours, as required. Generally, there is minimal disruption to business operations, even during URETEK works. There should be no need to vacate or even relocate.
Stabilisation/ realignment is carried out cleanly and quietly, as a dry process. There is no demolition, no excavation and generally no consequential redecoration. No water, no fumes, no smell. Little or no cleanup is required.
In terms of both equipment and material, URETEK Deep-Injection is self-contained and compact - dramatically reducing time, manpower and construction vehicle needs. Each URETEK truck has its own crew amenities, 3-phase power supply and carries all necessary components and materials to complete daily projects.
ECONOMICAL
The cost of URETEK Deep-Injection compares most favourably with alternative correction procedures.
Further, as consequential redecoration costs are often avoided, substantial indirect savings can accrue because business/occupation can continue uninterrupted.
Where the subgrade or foundation may be subject to continuing settlement, URETEK Deep-Injection can still provide a solution. Should future monitoring detect movement, the same procedure can be used for re-levelling again. In this way the substantial capital expense of replacement, or other alternatives, can be exchanged for programmed maintenance.
CONTROLLABILITY
URETEK Deep-Injection does not depend on hydraulic pressure. The material is contained by the reaction process.
The boundaries of the subsided areas to be raised are readily controlled, so there is less likelihood of collateral damage.
The controllability of the injection process makes possible fractional raising of buildings and provides multiple adjustment capability.
STRUCTURAL
URETEK material aggressively fills any voids it finds. It develops enormous compressive power, of up to 1000 tonnes per square metre (10,000 KPa).
The small size of the injection holes avoids structural weakening due to drilling or the need to cut reinforcing steel.
With no excavation, there is no temporary weakening of support to building or adjacent structures.
ARCHITECTURAL
After protection of wall and floor finishes, even internal walls affected by the settlement can be stabilised and raised back to original levels.
The small number and size of injection holes can allow injection through floor finishes (including tiles and parquetry), where removal may not be practical. The small holes are not unsightly and can often be plugged or patched, obviating the need for matching.
During correction, windows and doors realign and gaps and cracks close, as floors and walls are lifted.
RELIABILITY
The world-patented URETEK Deep-Injection has been proven by experience throughout Europe, UK, North America and Australasia.
Injected URETEK material is guaranteed for a period of ten years, against any significant shrinkage or deterioration but its life span is considered indefinite. It is stable, inert and therefore harmless to the water table and the environment.
Because URETEK Deep-Injection is a patented process, you can be assured that you are dealing with experienced people.
